A This project has been well developed exposing many different attributes of Rec8 protein including its development, function and localisation. There is definitely a excellent use of Harvard Style Referencing that shows the level of research and information information collected from various sources. It appears that you have not provided adequate licensure for the image that you have included from Nature Cell Biology and hopefully that you may complete this soon prior to complaints by Dr Hill. In addition, the information provided is of great detail indicative of a great degree of research although it can be displayed in a more legible manner such that it may be better understood by the general public. For example in the Experiments on mutants lacking protein Rec8 subheading, multiple sentences beginning with the word Experiment. Perhaps you could add astericks or bullet points to indicate different statements that you would like to convey. Also dont forget to add a link to your group project as apparently it satisfies a particular aspect of the criteria. -z3224479

B.i think the layout of your page could be better with the pictures closer the text that explains them. Also if you make a few more subheading the contents page at the top would be easier to navigate through i think you should alos put in some external links, i also couldn't find a link back to your group assessment. you dont seem to have many sources of your info, but the content is good! C This page is quite comprehensive however the sources were probably not the most updated ones? If there was no research being done in the past few years, probably you can make a comment in the conclusion saying that the development and progression of this protein is not being done at the moment. Overall you have a good introduction and good diagrams as well. (3222840)

D There is a lot of information on your project. The use of diagrams is very helpful, however I think the overall text would be easier to understand if put under subheadings of 'function', 'structure', 'location' etc. Your project also lacks some information on current research. (3221652)

Lecture 4 - Nucleus - What did you find interesting and did not know about the nucleus?

It is amazing to know that all the DNA chromosomes are bounded within the tiny nucleus of a cell. Such tiny things are responsible for the characteristic of a person, such as their skin colour and height and if something went wrong, chromosomes abnormality would lead to life threatening problems of the person!

I haven't studied so much in depth about the nucleus, therefore the entire lecture other than the basic information are new to me.

Lecture 5 - Exocytosis - What concept about exocytosis did you find difficult to understand?

I do not find the lecture on exocytosis difficult to understand because it has been organised in a very structured and easily understood manner. That is, it mainly explains and describe the structure and function of certain organelles and structures that are associated with the process of exocytosis. I'm okay with them! =)

Lecture 10 - What is the name of the epidermal layer between the basal and granulosa layer and how does it relate to intermediate filaments?

Stratum spinosum.

Cells of this layer actively synthesize cytokeratins,which are form of intermediate filaments composed of keratin. They then provide structual support by joining adjacent cells to anchor to the desmosomes.

B)--Easy to read and follow page well done for that! It probably could have included more resources in the research though. A glossary may also be useful. I was a little unsure of how the first picture related to your protein.

C) Carmen Lam 16:37, 21 May 2009 (EST) Page could be easily understood and there was a goo duse of images, to brighten up your page. Although with the intext referencing you could possibly try yuo could probably try rephrasing in your own words, instead of constantly jsut quotign then referencing.
