Title: Image depicting the role of cohesin and separase on the chromosomes during metaphase and anaphase.

Legend: This image shows the role of cohesin during metaphase which connects the sister chromosomes. The separase in anaphase then reverses the role of cohesin and subsequently allows the chromatids to separate.
