I came into the ITET4 Fellowship with a clear idea of what I intended to achieve, that is, to generate an online Cell Biology resource site similar to that which I had previously made for Embryology. I also had set up several courses using WebCT for several years and intend to link them to this new resource. As the UNSW Embryology project had taken the best part of 5 years to develop (and is still be updated), I therefore already knew that only a small amout of what I thought I would achieve would be completed in the period of the fellowship (see below). What I hoped to achieve was a well planned "skeleton" of the overall project on which I could later develop more content, learning pathways and exercises. The introductoy ITET material over 3 weeks gave a good background to Educational theory and support EDTeC staff which was useful in thinking about how to structure the final online project. The great resource though were the other ITET fellows from diverse Faculties with quite different projects in mind.
As time was limited I decided very early in the planning stage to focus on initially developing the Medicine component of the the project. This was because the new curriculum will begin in 2004 and extensive planning and designing for the new course has been carried out. This will be discussed later in the planing process. 2. the web site>>
